Certified Quality Engineer

ITS Electronics Inc. is an established Canadian corporation located in Vaughan, ON. Main Duties

Design and conduct quality assurance shop floor process audits and issue corrective actions where required.
Write or update process instructions or procedures.
Design or specify inspection mechanisms and equipment.
Analyze production limitations and standards for process improvement.
Assist with problem-solving and analyze nonconformance data to determine trends and preventive actions.
Recommend revision of specifications, process instructions or procedures.
May conduct training on quality assurance concepts and tools.
Interface with all other engineering disciplines in the company and with customers or suppliers on quality related issues as required.
Participate in Internal Audits.

Requirements

Canadian citizen preferred.
ASQ-certified CQE.
Electronics Engineering background.
3-5 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with processes for electronics and preferably for RF and aerospace or military products.
Self-motivated to work with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Ability to perform statistical analysis.
Good command of written and verbal English language.
Experience in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment is a plus.

Senior RF/ Microwave Technicians/Technologists

As an RF/Microwave Technician/Technologist you will perform DC and RF circuit testing to various microwave components. Your ability to operate microwave test equipment will allow you to align and troubleshoot down to component level.
Your ability to comprehend and interpret schematic, assembly and wire drawings will allow you to test prototypes and production units to customer's specifications.
You must have a diploma as an electronics technician or technologist, be a quick learner and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
You are proficient in various software applications and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to be a great team player, liaising with the Engineering and Assembly Departments.
Three to five years' experience in this field is preferable for applicants for this position. Experience with Hybrid Microwave technology is a bonus.

Senior Buyer

Develop and maintain an international supply base that provides maximum value; competitive purchasing of technical materials and services.
Develop sourcing strategies, source suppliers and negotiate contracts. Identify and implement cost-savings initiatives.
Participate in cross functional engineering projects.
Maintain awareness of emerging technologies that will affect commodity cost and strategies.
Engineering degree in a related field and sufficient microwave or telecommunications purchasing experience coupled with a proven track record is required.
A minimum of ten years purchasing experience and PMAC enrolment or completion is preferred. A task-oriented, hands-on person who is capable of thinking strategically and preparing business cases for management.
Component engineering experience is a definite asset.
Experience in an ERP or MRP environment is a necessity.

Senior Microwave Engineer

The applicant must possess extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of Microwave and Millimeter wave active devices, circuits and technologies, with a strong product Design and Development record in the field of Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten years' experience in design and development of microwave and millimeter wave up converters, down converters, low noise amplifiers and power amplifiers.
Proven ability to design wideband circuits and subsystems is a definite asset. The successful applicant must have experience with frequencies up to 40 GHz.
Your practical experience of at least ten years in the MW/MMW environment along with the strong educational background will facilitate in the development of MW/MMW hardware design, analysis, simulation and integration/testing of power amplifiers and transceiver subsystems.
A thorough knowledge of advanced RF simulation tools and commercially available software is required as well as knowledge of cleanroom processes and HMIC design techniques.
MMIC design experience is a definite asset.
Your strong written and verbal communication skills in English along with leadership and problem solving skills will allow you to comfortably interface with customers and suppliers.
The candidate must also be able to obtain Canadian Security Clearance and PEO membership.

Senior Sales Executive

As a Senior Field Sales Executive you will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and closing product sales opportunities. In this position your duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Identify and Develop Leads in Satellite Communications markets.
Prepare Proposals/ Quotations.
Strengthen relationships with House Accounts.
Close opportunities to meet negotiated Sales Quota.

Intermediate Electronics Hardware Design Engineer

The successful applicant will be an organized, self-motivated individual who can see the "big picture". A proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines is a must. This position reports directly to the Manager, Digital and Analog Design Department. You may be required to supervise junior engineers. There is opportunity for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

ITS has a large wealth of existing designs that you will be required to learn and support.
Primarily you will be taking architectural concepts and designing the required analog, digital and power supply circuitry. You will enter this into schematic form and guide the PCB layout department to implement your design as a finished PCB. As you prove your designs you will become responsible for architecting complete solutions from customer specification to implementation.
Low noise power supplies, both linear and SMPS and the PCB distribution of these voltages is a crucial design consideration. Equally important is the understanding and implementation of the underlying thermal management.
All ITS' designs consist of analog and digital input and outputs, under the control of 16 and 32 bit Motorola MCUs. Many of our products involve multiple MCUs communicating over various serial busses and an understanding of the issues that may arise is critical.
You will specify your software requirements and work with the software group to ensure their proper integration into your project.
Finally, you will prepare the bills of materials and create the appropriate test documentation and acceptance criteria. You will understand the tradeoffs made during Make/Buy decisions.
The successful applicant will have, as a minimum, a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and five year's experience in analog, digital and power supply circuit design. Some embedded software design is essential, preferably assembly or C. Applicants must also have experience in aerospace, defense or have relevant industry experience

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Familiarity with the concepts of TCP/IP and RS-485/422.
Familiarity with Lab Windows and ATE.
Experience with an AS9100:2001 environment would be beneficial.

Quality Inspector

Main Duties

QC inspection – incoming parts (metal parts, PCB).
QC inspection – final and in-process (electronic assemblies).

Requirements

Canadian citizen preferred.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610, a must.
Electronics background.
