ITS Electronics: Supplier Guidelines and Requirements

ITS Electronics maintains rigorous standards in our supply chain relationships, emphasizing quality and compliance. Below are essential guidelines and requirements that supplement the specific terms in our Purchase Orders (POs):

  • We welcome shipments made ahead of schedule.
  • A detailed First Article Inspection (FAI) report is mandatory for all supplies, covering every aspect as per our drawings and specifications, unless stated otherwise on the PO. Shipment of parts is contingent on prior approval from ITS Electronics.
  • Compliance with the latest revision of IPC-A-600, as per class specifications on our drawings, is mandatory for all PCBs.
  • Suppliers must provide first-off inspection reports for repeated production runs, detailing compliance with all specifications and dimensions.
  • Any changes in revision levels issued by ITS Electronics must be validated by a delta FAI and approved prior to continuing production.
  • When relevant, test data will be included.
  • Preventative measures against counterfeit parts usage are essential.
  • We expect our suppliers to educate their employees about their role in product/service conformity, safety, and ethical practices.
  • ITS Electronics must be immediately informed of any changes in processes, products, services, location, or part obsolescence.
  • Each shipment must include a Raw Material Certificate (a photocopy is acceptable). Originals should be retained for potential review.
  • All component assembly must strictly follow the IPC-A-610 (Latest Revision) Class 3 standards.
  • Complete board population and de-panelization post-assembly are required. Any deviations or substitutions must be pre-approved in writing by ITS Electronics.
  • Adherence to specified quantities in the PO is crucial. Overshipments require prior written authorization from ITS Electronics for acceptance.
  • Each shipment must include a Manufacturer’s Certificate of Compliance, confirming adherence to the PO, drawings, and specifications.
  • Shipments must be accompanied by a NAFTA Certificate of Origin (when applicable), including detailed lot information, date codes, and serial numbers on both the packing slip and parts label.
  • Delivered items must be free from Mercury, Cadmium, Chromium VI, PBB, and PBDE. Any exceptions must be reported immediately for potential order cancellation or part substitution.
  • Written notification is required from the supplier for shipping nonconforming materials and for any changes in products, processes, suppliers, or facilities affecting the order.
  • ITS reserves the right to audit, through access to supplier facilities and quality records, for ITS, their customers, or regulatory authorities.
  • Suppliers must communicate these requirements to their sub-tier suppliers, along with other relevant PO stipulations.
  • Record retention related to this PO must be for a minimum of 8 years or as per ITS Electronics Inc.’s specifications.
  • Strict adherence to IPC-A-620 (Latest Revision) standards for cable and wire harness assemblies
  • Complete assembly of cable and wire harnesses according to IPC-A-620 (Latest Revision specifications.
  • Any deviations or substitutions from IPC-A-620 (Latest Revision) standards must receive prior written approval.
