Main Duties

Manager of Engineering

This Manager must have a proven track record of managing diverse multidiscipline engineering teams from microwave/RF to electrical and mechanical to software design and implementation. The Manager should be well versed in the latest technologies and in the transitioning of development programs to manufacturing. This Engineering position will manage the development of ITS Electronics Satcom equipment and system solutions for both ground based and airborne platforms. Individual responsibilities include the following:
- Manage multidiscipline engineering team to meet the technical and schedule requirements on programs

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:
- Performing RF designs consisting of cascaded analysis, circuit design, EM simulation, and verification
- Supporting current designs and future opportunities
- Bench testing and operating test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, signal / noise generators, etc.
- Undertaking fault diagnosis and resolution from system level down to component level
- Recommending design changes to our products, eg for performance or obsolescence, and then incorporating those changes
- Proactively identifying and recommending opportunities for product or process improvement
- Interact effectively and efficiently as part of a multi-functional team
- Coordinating with Production and Testing Departments for solutions to issues arose during production process
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Good knowledge of RF/Microwave theories in system and component levels
- 0 to 2 years related experience in RF designs
- Proficiency in Electronic Design Automation tools (e.g. ADS, Momenum, HFSS, Genesys, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Possess a team-oriented attitude, accountability and ownership
- Effective written and verbal communications in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (or higher)
- Experience implementing frequency synthesizers using PLLs
- Hardware bench skills (soldering, troubleshooting)
- Knowledge of cleanroom processes and HMIC design techniques
- Canadian security clearance
