ITS Electronics, a leading provider of Satellite Communication (Satcom) equipment is looking for a Western Region Sales Director located in the Western United States  preferably California.  This Director must have a proven track record of selling Satcom hardware Solutions to both the commercial and military/DOD markets.  These solutions include, but are not limited to Frequency Converters, (BUC and BDC) High Power Amplifiers (HPA), Transceivers, and Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) for both commercial and military use.  In addition, this Director must have a good understanding of the technical aspects satcom equipment and working knowledge of the market.  This individual should have a “Rolodex” of Satcom customers including Satcom integrators, Antenna manufacturers, Satellite service providers, Satellite equipment companies and Satcom distributors.  This position reports into the Senior Vice President Business Development.

Main Duties

  • Identify, pursue, capture, and win new satellite equipment business  to meet/exceed company’s revenue budget with the strategic goal of  positioning the company as the leading provider of Satcom hardware solutions to the industry
  • Aggressively close Satcom business related to customer base and pursue new clients to expand the customer base
  • Meet personal and team revenue goals
  • Provide effective account management to accounts and develop/maintain relationships with key customer personnel
  • Forecast sales, develop/manage a pipeline of opportunities with the objective of achieving profitable
  • Develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models to secure business
  • Establish new sales distribution channels when needed
  • Introduce new products and technologies to customer base
  • Provide feedback to management on customers’ needs/concerns, products and competitors
  • Make decisions  regarding sales strategies, commercial offers, and price negotiations
  • Provide customers with quotations, and product information
  • Arrange and conduct presentations/demonstrations or site visits to inform and influence client prospects of ITS Electronics  value proposition
  • Effectively communicate with all areas of the company, including engineering to define customer requirements, finance to develop profitable pricing models and operations to determine delivery of customer’s product and services.

Minimum qualifications

  • Must live in Western US, preferably California
  • Since this position is remote, the individual must be self motivated/driven
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of eight (8) years proven sales and/or business development experience in the Satcom and/or terrestrial or wireless telecom equipment sales
  • Strong communications, negotiations and interpersonal skills with the ability to present company products and services to customers and partners
  • Knowledge of competing satcom companies capabilities and markets
  • Account management experience is a requirement
  • Experience in utilizing industry contacts at the executive and or C level to penetrate targeted customers.
  • Must have a track record of consistently over achieving  sales and revenue goals
  • Since the position is remote this individual must have the ability to both prioritize projects and multitask many projects at one time
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management  (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Knowledge of the satellite market sector, its technology needs, strategic initiatives, operational processes
  • Computer competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Power Point and Excel

Manager of Engineering

ITS Electronics, a leading provider of Satellite Communication (Satcom) equipment is looking for a Manager of Engineering. This Manager must have a proven track record of managing diverse multidiscipline engineering teams from microwave/RF to electrical and mechanical to software design and implementation. The Manager should be well versed in the latest technologies and in the transitioning of development programs to manufacturing. ITS Electronics provides Frequency Converters, (BUC and BDC) High Power Amplifiers (HPA), Transceivers, and Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA) for both commercial and military use. This Engineering position will manage the development of ITS Electronics Satcom equipment and system solutions for both ground based and airborne platforms. In addition this Manager will also manage the development of specifications for RF hardware and software systems based on customer requirements including the evaluation and selection of vendors and partners.
This individual must have a good understanding of engineering involved in development of products for:

  • Earth Station Equipment
  • In-Flight Entertainment
  • Mobile Satcom
  • Satcom on the move

Individual responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage multidiscipline engineering team to meet the technical and schedule requirements on programs
  • Oversight of the entire budget for the engineering department
  • Evaluation of customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements
  • Manage the engineering teams development of system-level architectures and the decomposition into system and hardware and software lower level requirements
  • Manage the implementation of new or enhanced RF equipment and systems for satellite earth stations and gateways, Satellite In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems and satellite communication on the move systems
  • Manage the introduction of new products and technologies to both new and existing customers
  • Provide feedback to management on customers’ needs/concerns, products and competitors
  • Effectively communicate with all areas of the company, including sales and marketing to define implementation of customer requirements, finance to meet cost goals

Following are the minimum qualification for this individual

  • Must live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada region
  • Bachelor’s degree, preference to individuals with master’s degree in RF engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience
  • A minimum of ten (10) years experience in the Satcom and/or terrestrial or wireless telecom equipment development
  • Background in RF/microwave design and/or program management is desirable
  • At least 10 years of experience managing diverse multidiscipline engineering teams in the satellite communications field on commercial and government programs
  • Must have knowledge of aviation standards and certifications including but not limited to ARINC, DO160, DO254, and FAA certifications.
  • Customer focused orientation with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to present company proposed solutions, products and services to customers, partners and vendors
  • Knowledge of competing Satcom companies capabilities and markets
  • Computer competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills, critical thinker, and self-starter

HMIC RF/ Technician/Technologist

Position Duties

  • Tuning of RF and microwave modules using Wire bonding (wedge & ball) and Ribbon bonding (wedge & parallel gap) methods.
  • Prepare test data for engineering review
  • Troubleshoot and replace electrical circuitry
  • Perform tests and evaluations of electrical systems or prototypes
  • Test and troubleshoot prototype circuits, and mechanical parts
  • Assist in the design and preparation of documentation

Essential Qualifications

  • Community College Graduate (3 Yr. Electronics Technologist/Technician Program) or equivalent
  • Familiarity with clean room practices and ESD protection practices
  • Enthusiastic, detail and solution oriented, task focused, self motivated and must be able to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem solving of Analog and Digital circuits is an asset
  • A strong mechanical aptitude would be beneficial asset
  • General knowledge of Microwave and RF circuits and test methods is required
  • Must be able to obtain controlled goods clearance.

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR

Main duties:

  • QC inspection ( incoming inspection of machined metal parts, board assemblies )
  • in-process inspection of integrated assemblies

Requirements:

  • Canadian citizen preferred
